![]() ![]() I’d feel safe knowing that the people who should have guns continue to be safe and practical owners. There’s too many people with mental health issues, radical thoughts, or simply a short fuse when it comes to emotions like anger.Īs an American I don’t and wouldn’t feel safe if “everyone” had a gun. ![]() That’s when I saw a very simple flaw in my thinking not “everyone” should have a gun. I used to think that if “everyone” had a gun, it would create a “level playing field” and no one would try anything stupid. Given that, I don’t feel safe whatsoever and even if I had a gun myself(I do but don’t conceal or open carry) I still wouldn’t feel safe simply based on the fact that I know everyone else had a gun. I live in a not so safe environment in Los Angeles and I can assure you that 1 in 5 people you see walking down the main street have a gun on them that’s the hood for you. One person might feel safer as an individual when having a gun but I can assure you that in a public setting like say a shopping mall no one would feel safe knowing that everyone was carrying a firearm on their persons. It’s a matter of personal safety I believe.
